RIF is in a position to realize three different types of machining of the inside bore of Shells and Metal Pipes:
ROUGH BORING / TURNING
- As first operation to serve as a preliminary step to the successive fine-machining operations
- For inside machining of pipes for Guiding Rolls and Presses, with the purpose to achieve a uniform thickness of the metal shell, to eliminate or minimize unbalance phenomena, dynamic deflection and uneven thermal exchange of the shell.
INSIDE GRINDING
- Fine machining of the inside surface of new Suction Roll Shells. RIF inside grinding technology comprehends the inner deburring phase to eliminate burrs and residuals of previous machining
- As reconditioning grinding of the internal surface of worn out suction shells, to eliminate indentations, grooves or fine machining of repaired areas
- For intermediate machining of swimming roll shells
